Rennline LED Headlight conversion - what to do with the extra wires?
Hi,
Attempting to install a set of LED headlights to a '79 911 SC Coupe RHD. There's a single cable & adapter that plugs into the socket which is fine. But there's two additional wires as shown in the picture (old headlight) that don't seem to have a place to plug in anywhere on the new Rennline LED headlight. I'm guessing these two wires are for the parking lights ? Is there an additional/different plug needed on the Rennline LED's or some other method to sort ? ![]() Greatly appreciate steering me in the right direction. Cheers, |

Better check with Rennline. My guess is that since they are a US company, their LED lights don't have the in-light parking light used in all the rest of the world. You may have to get creative somehow.

The brown wire is just the Ground distribution that comes 'in' from the left in the picture, connects to the H4 connector and also into the right wire 'exit' for the blinkers.
I don't have the diagram for the 79 here but this is for the 88 in German, it should still be the same setup in your car: ![]() You can see the split of the BR (brown) wire from 'pin 31', depending on the option you have (US or non-US lights) M553 = US option with sidelight SW/WS = BLACK/WHITE SW/GR = BLACK/GREY BR = BROWN GN/G = Green/Yellow BL = BLUE
