TTS question
Read every thread I could find about TTS. My car has a VDO TTS 45C. Please confirm or correct the following:
Yellow wire to G (smaller) post is 12V to heat TTS. If it is disconnected from the post the CSV will still work as long as key held in START, even if the engine is hot. Red wire to W (larger) post provides switched ground to CSV based on time/temp. CSV coil resistance can be measured through the yellow and red wires as both go to the CSV. Mine reads 4.3 ohms My question is this: When the TTS is cold what should the resistance, if any, be from W post to ground? I am using the TTS probe as ground. Mine is .1 ohms. I thought it would provide ground until hot then open and remove ground to the CSV. Is my TTS good or no good? G post to ground: ![]() G post to W post: ![]() W post to ground: ![]() Thanks |

Bench testing TTS.........
Quote:
Funracer, The tests so far showed the TTS is good. But that is only half-way done. You need to test and confirm that W opens up when heated. A continuity tester or test light is a good tool to use to confirm its performance. Tony |
