Aftermarket Headliner Bows - are they the right size now?
Been reading up on headliner installation and I can't quite tell if the aftermarket headliner bows are the right size or not. Pelican sells Porsche re-issues, will I have any problem with these? Most of the threads are many years old so maybe the fitment issues have been fixed?
Anyone recently done a non-sunroof coupe headliner install with the bows from our host? Thanks, Bill |

I just installed a headliner and bows from Pelican and the bows fit just fine.
I bought the German vinyl and was pleased with the quality. I did notice that the hoops that bows slide through seemed a bit too long and would bunch up slightly against the car frame as I was pulling the headliner taught. I ended up using a razor to slice back those hoops slightly at the edges of the bows where it goes into the frame holes. ![]() |

Our trimmer of 40 years fitted a 911 headlining about 4 years ago.He sneared at me when I offered the steel bows.He used and had used for most of his career, garden sticks. The kind that support plants. They are light, cheap and flex EXACTLY as much as you need as you can adjust length and fitting points.Plastic OR wood both work.fix with dob of sealant.
