A/c
So I finally decided to pull the remaining air conditioning components from my 911. For some reason I was always intimidated by the abyss that is the Smuggler's box. So now what do I do with these parts? Does anyone still need these old parts that never really worked well to begin with? Is there actually a small group of folks trying to gather these parts for their all original, concourse builds?

The parts can indeed be made to work very well. Mine do.
Yes, put the parts on the marketplace threads and someone will want some of them. Likely the condensers and evaporators are no good if they have been non working for years. The motors and fans and brackets are useful to the people putting the AC back on a car. For sure throw way the receiver-dryer and it has to be replaced anyway. |
Patrick, I might be interested in the rear deck lid condenser down in Eugene, if it isn't corroded inside.

Arne2, sorry, but that is one of the parts that was removed years ago. I have the parts from inside the Smuggler's box and the blower that goes up in the front of the trunk behind the bumper and the control panel with the two knobs for in the passenger compartment.

No problem, Patrick. I'm pretty well covered with all those parts, other than I may possibly need a fan switch. But those aren't hard to get.

I just made my original AC work in my Carrera. Does not work great but when I sell it someday I can show that it works.

HI, I might be interested in the control panel with the two knobs for in the passenger compartment. Can you PM me some pics and asking price? Thanks
