Minor question: deckled badge - drill or adhesive?
My car has what I assume is an aftermarket deckled, because it doesn't have holes for the "911 SC" badge in it. That's one of those minor aesthetic things that bothered me, so a while ago I picked up a badge to put on.
Option one: cut mounting studs off, attached badge to deckled using suitable 3M double-sided outdoor adhesive tape cut to fit under the badge. Option two: mark decklid with post locations, drill holes, mount using the original method with nuts on the back side. Which would you do? I have a particular aversion to drilling holes in sheetmetal if I don't have to, but I'm aware this is sometimes an unreasonable aversion so I'm checking it against others' judgment.

Holes are forever (or just about unless you Weld and paint). 3M holds great and is reversible in case you want the clean uncluttered look.

Tape, it's convenient and easily removed.
