1970 911t seat belts

So, been cleaning up my 1970 911t and was trying to figure out the seat belts. It seems they are 3 point but not automatic and not very adjustable.

The buckle seems to attach to a clasp on the side of the seat closest to the centre tunnel.

Is this all standard? does anyone have any pics? can you get replacements?

yes, the ones with the little red tabs aren't 'automatic' you have to manually adjust and they are a pain. you probably want to consider having them re-webbed, there is a guy at EarlyS that sells webbing and does this work.

Parts Klassik sells a retrofit setup that I have in my 71. it works very well.

The first thing I did when I acquired my 911 was to purchase new retractable 3-point seat belts froom Peparts: KT101T (911 AND 912 TARGA MODEL, 1969-73, WITH STOCK SEATS).

Original seatbelts were easily removed and stored in case a full restoration to factory specs is ever needed. In the mean time these belts are made specifically for Porsche 911 and are made to resemble the later push button style seat belts the factory switched to around 1973/74. The look is 90% OEM correct and I definitely feel safer with these versus the nearly 50 year old non-retracting belts.

I like the originality so have found a rewetting place in the UK that does this to UK and EU standard so I will see how that works out. Thanks all
