Aesthetic question on Fog Lights

I’m cleaning up wiring in my car and trying to undo some of the half ass wiring that was done before I got the car, so I can do my own half ass wiring.

Among the things I need to remove or re-do is the wiring for the aftermarket fog lights.

So, what do you think? Keep ‘em or ditch ‘em?

I would take them out immediately. Just doesn’t look right.

Porsche Crest

Agree with Sajan, if it were my car I would lose those fogs.

What you may want to do is see if Porsche offered fogs as an option on your MY car. If so, installing a set of OEM fogs may have a better look on your 911.

I had a 1977 911 that did not come with fog lights. I found a set of OEM Porsche fogs for my MY car; also found the correct cockpit knob for the dash. Installed the fogs and the dash knob so it looked like it was original equipment.

Good luck.

If you really want fogs you could go with the through the horn grill lights which I think would look best on your car with your S front spoiler. Or none at all.

Not only was there the factory option for fog/driving lights at the horn grills but, there was also a factory option for the round Hella 118 fog lights mounted approximately where those rectangular fogs are mounted. There is a bracket that mounts to the bottom of the spoiler. The wiring for
the fog lights are part of the standard harness from the lights to the relay bank. Has to be added from the relay bank/fuse panel to the dash switch.
