What part is this
 
Trying to find out what part this is in my 1981 911Sc Porsche. It located in the engine compartment above the oil reservoir.

Do you have any bigger pictures of it?

If its plastic, probably the charcoal canister. Should have two cloth hoses connected to one end and a metal strap holding the canister.
