Pilot Bearing
Does this seem right? Or is it a defective product? Brand is SKF.
Bearing is open on one side. If this is okay, what orientation for install? ![]() ![]()

I recently pulled a NTN 6202 C3 with shields on both sides from my 87 Carrera. Pelican FAG bearing is a 6202 C3 with rubber seals on both sides.
Your bearing is a 6202 C3 with a seal on one side and it appears that it has no lubrication. If used, I would lubricate the bearing and put the seal towards the clutch. Or Just get another 6202 bearing with 2 seals and clearance C3. They are ceap. |

I'm with Harold. Grease the bearing and insert it so you're looking at the seal, i.e. seal toward the clutch. Your seal on the other side is the interference fit, bearing to crank and bearing to output shaft.

Okay, if the inside of the bearing fits flush against the crank I guess that makes sense. I'll pack a little more grease in there. It is greased, just not a whole lot in there.
