I replaced my turn signal stalk on 77S due to wear and the fact that I had ordered a new one years ago. Now the turn signals don’t work at all and the ignition remains on when the headlights are on. I replaced the ignition and Headlight switches with no joy. I have a wiring diagram, but can’t seem to figure out what crossed circuit would cause this. The fuses are all in tact. An aftermarket headlight relay kit was installed years ago and the headlight function is normal. The turn signal relay is also new. Thanks in advance.

I forgot to add the turn signals were working before I changed the stalk. They just wouldn’t cancel reliably and after a few cycles both R & L indicator lights would flash simultaneously even though the outside flashers were correct. The flashers don’t work either with the above changes.

Without reviewing a wiring diagram, it would seem you have the wires that go to the light switch crossed. There are a couple of other loose leads that need to be hooked up. Review your work, and if nothing makes since, I can send a pic of the wiring diagram
