Glove Box Door emblem 911S

I want to add a 911S emblem to my Glove Box door mid 70's I took the lock of the door off and the front of the door does not seperate from the back of he door. It look as the front and the back are just glued together? But did not want to try prying them apart until I get some advise on what to do! The emblem has two posts that I can drill threw the front of the door and attach with the clips that come with it.

Thanks,

Sam

The aluminium trim is just stuck on with sticky pads. It has holes in it for the emblem. It might be easier to use a cheese wire to slide behind the trim to cut the sticky pads.

Glovebox

YES.... the glovebox door is simply GLUED onto the door......

I just replaced my old door that had started to come UNGLUED, and completed separated the door from the frame just to see.

I also applied my custom made "911B" badge with double sided tape.......

What’s the B stand for or is it an inside joke?

"b"

nope.... not an inside joke or anything like that.

"B" stands for BASTARD....... my car is a 74 911 base model.... I've done a lot of stuff to it over the years and it is not very stock. Several years ago one of our brothers C&C the Porsche font with a B for Bastard and I loved the idea..... I bought the last one. Just recently mounted it on the glovebox door after struggling on where to mount it. door was ideal for me.

Very nice and cool car! Maybe Porsche should have kept that emblem on the glove box. Looks great there!

Thanks,

Sam

Thanks Mordecai !!!

The Pandemic has allowed me to complete a WHOLE lot of stuff I've been wanting to do for YEARS!

The replacing the door was one of the things on the to-do list.
