MSD High Vibe Blaster Coil with Points?
 

Well, this is actually my first post on Peli. Hope its in the right place! Here goes nothing.

I had a coil fail on me last week, bought an MSD High Vibe Blaster Coil (PN8222). It was highly recommended everywhere I looked.

Now I'm not 100% sure that it's compatible with points.
I'm thinking having a CDI box means I can run the coil without the ballast resistor.

Car is a 77 2.7 911

The points are just a switch for the CDI. Blaster coil might not be a perfect match, but I think it’ll work fine.

Works fine. No resistor with the CD unit.
