SC’s are excellent Porsche’s, I drive mine frequently and in all conditions. But just like a bad doctor can make you more ill then before you had an appointment with him/her, so too can an ignorant, unprepared or generally inept mechanic turn your SC into a problem car. One thing is for sure: it’s not your SC’s fault. An injection of common sense for the owner is what I’d prescribe. John.

An hour ago, I wanted to say the same thing too but controlled myself posting it. It might be next spring before someone would figure this out. He has this problem for a while back and would exist until identified and corrected.

loose flywheel or pilot bearing , bad input shaft bearing, broken finger on pressure plate
You have to have someone else remove the engine and see what the other mechanic did or did not do

hi Darrin, located in Europe...the car has been in 3 mechanics, 1 Porsche official, 2 very renown Porsche mechanics ....

thats probably one of the problems, but I've been in the 3 top and renown in the area...one of them has been a Porsche mechanic for 50 years...so I've no more doors to open...

Is there any chance at all you can post a vid of the problem at the root of this saga ?

Post a video like 5 other guy's said. We can only guess with your description of the issue. The mechanics you describe as renowned can't possibly be if they can't figure this out.

thank you all!! Ive got Porsches from 1962 to 2019 and as you can imagine, I've seen it all, had some problems to solve...but this car has been challenging!!

will try it to do a video ... car is at this moment at another mechanic for evaluation...but I don't know how it can be "seen"in video, reproducing the shudder is not easy.

just a curiosity, searching the forum I found another very similar problem ..car shudders/shakes when driving from still in 1st and reverse, car warms at speeds above 80/90 miles/hour, it was in a 2010 post!:eek: with zero answers...so don't know if it had a solution...sent PM to the owner just to try and see if he still looks at the forum and see if it reached a solution.

believe me Gomez, in my country there are few top Porsche mechanics...these are the best...ive now taken the car to a general mechanic that has done some good work in Porsche rally cars...been there for a few weeks...

I've got a very similar engine shudder in all gears while accelerating, but mine is also accompanied by intermittent stalling. The tach will drop to zero and the engine will stall out, a few minutes and it will start right back up. I am hoping that they are related and that I don't solve my stalling problem just to face the situation you are in...

I am going to start with the cheap and easy Lambda relay, and then start looking at some of the ignition parts I think are original (wires, cap/rotor - all need to be done anyway).

This isn't like my Jeep where I can just throw cheap parts at it, so if the above doesn't solve, I'm picking up some gauges and going to start following some of the excellent CIS troubleshooting information in this forum.
