Nikasil coating of used alusil cylinder?

Hey folks
Have any of you experience, or info, about nikacil coting of used alucil cylinders?
As far as I know the cylinders are not the same alloy... just thinking.

Alusil is preferred as the Nikasil plating holds up better than a replate on an original cylinder.Fred

I'm sorry ... But I'm not sure I understand your reply.
Are you saying it is easier to cote an alusil cylinder, than recote a nikasil?

EBS Racing offers this service. I had them plate and hone my Alusil cylinders with fantastic results. 1K miles after rebuild the engine burns no oil.
