Need help finding alarm wiring harnass
Hi all,
I need help locating my Alarm wiring harnass/connector. Looking at the wiring diagrams it should be right behind the gauges somewhere but I cannot seem to locate it ? I want to use it to install a gps tracker/immobiliser and all the necessary connections should be right there on that 'plug'. My car is a 85 Carrera (US) without alarm - can it be that the wiring for the alarm unit was not installed if the option wasn't factory installed ? (I was looking for a plug like in this post : http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/437580-no-cut-method-bypassing-factory-alarm.html ) |

It's behind the fresh air blower assembly on the passenger side. You have to remove the blower cover, hoses, the blower motor, and the attached ducts. There are two bolts on the motor, and one on a plastic duct directly in front of the blower. There are six screws holding in the intake screens where the hood meets the body and behind those, two screws that have to come out to remove the blower assembly.
Remove the hose at the bottom of the assembly, and then push the blower down to release it from the intake, and pull it out. You will see the alarm connectors. |
