Help Identify Mystery Set Screw
While poking around behind the dash today to remove my ignition switch on my '83 911sc this random set-screw/nut fell out. I was moving some wires around and it seemed to be caught up in them.
Anyone recognize where it may have come from? I've looked through the PET and can't seem to figure it out. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It's for the end of the arm on the ignition switch to attach to steering column.

Ahhh well that would make sense. It must have fallen loose some time ago and got caught up in the wiring. I'll try to reinstall it when I put the ignition switch back in. Thanks for the quick answer!

Yeah I just tried to reinstall. What a cramped area to get a tool up in there. I might remove the steering column cover and come from the front to tighten that nut.

Take the knee pad off. Two 8mm wrench size nuts.

if you remove those 3 wire set with male plugs in left top next to the el.ignition switch you will also et more room to play with
Ivan just make sure you plug them back where they belong-mark it
