Show me your fog lights

I'm thinking about replacing the non-vintage appropriate fogs on my '73 Targa.

Please post pictures of similar vintage cars with "proper" fog lights so I can get an idea of what would be vintage appropriate.

Thanks.

Plexiform, beautiful car and beautiful garage. I like the idea of the wood or laminate under the car to keep it off the cement.

The above are not period correct for '73.

If the car is a T with the standard bumper, the factory lights looked pretty much like this:

If it is an E or S, or a T with the optional spoiler/bumper, the lights were the through-the-grill (TTG) type.

I suppose as the original poster, I should include a picture of mine. I don’t hate them, but I don’t love them either. They don’t work, so I have a wiring project on my hands no matter what, so I’m thinking about replacing them.

A little overkill for fog lights, don't ya think?

QS192, the Through the Grill (TTG) lights shown are most correct for your 73 but, like that Lilac RS, you could do Driving Lights TTG and then Fog Lights off the spoiler. If you wanted to sick with a more rectangular light off the spoiler than round, maybe you'd like the early Hell 128s which have softer lines which might play well with the spoiler lines. Just a thought,,,

I’m not wild about the square ones on my car. I like the Hella 128s but I don’t have the openings on the S style chin spoiler. I’d like to put a T style chin on at some point, but that might not be for a while.

FWIW - I really like mine w/o fog lights. They don't do much anyway, so why mess with them. Just difficult to clean bugs from...

In my opinion, this is the best looking long hood fog light installation I have ever seen.
I don't know if it's the color with the yellow fog lights or what....love it.

I still haven't seen an impact bumper car with a decent set of driving lights that appeals to me.
