Front Control Arm Boss

I am trying to replace the control arm bushings in my 89 3.2 and stumbled into a problem... Looks like the boss for the forward most bolt holding the plate down has torn through. I have no idea how this is originally mounted or what the fix could/should be (other than turning a blind eye lol). If anyone can offer experience/suggestions, I'm all ears. Beat back where it came from with a BFH and try to weld? I'm hoping for a "no, just caulk around it, it'll be fine" verdict. I usually don't get that lucky. Thanks!

One of those rare instances when the use of JB Weld is not recommended.
Have you owned this car long?

Loaded question... "Yes" (depending on the required work). I'm not Rod Emory butI can use a MIG. I didn't want to start peeling off the undercoating and whatnot until I had a sense of the repair. Is that boss set into a cast piece and that casting broke? Is that what I'm looking at?

Haha (JB Weld).

Yeah, I've had it ~15 years. Tracked it a few times. Daily drove it for almost 10. Never demonstrated any signs of illness. Even up until I put it under the knife, drove fine, nice and tight in the front end. Guess maybe I did get lucky in that sense?

Here's a pic of the part that should have been on the front of the t-bar.
Is there one on the other side?

Yeah, the cover plate was on it and everything was tight and secure. Once I removed that cover plate, that's when I noticed the boss had torn out.

The arm is secured by the two bolts on the flange. That one is basically for mounting the driveway scraper.
