Dead Pedal - Recreation of Factory Original or Rennline?

I want to get a dead pedal for my '73 Targa to protect the carpet that just got installed.

I'm debating between the Recreation of the Factory Original

and the Rennline

https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/RENP13B.htm?pn=REN-P13-B&bt=Y&fs=0&SVSVSI=5878

I like the original look of the Factory Original Repro, but the only review it got was bad.

Does anyone have either of these that can provide additional feedback?

Check this post
Let's see your dead pedal

And I think that the Targas and coupe's wheel well is different, something you have to consider.

Targa and coupes definitely have different geometry in the foot well. I have a Targa and a few different dead pedals in the garage - none are installed because none seem to fit right. ..

Thanks. I was wondering about that. The Rennline comes in two models: one for Coupe and one for Convertible/Targa.

I only checked Pelican Parts. Are there other places with Dead Pedals I can look?

Rennline Dead Pedal

I have the Rennline dead pedal in my '83 Targa & love it.

Great location & large surface area to serve as a comfortable footrest.
