What are these for?

Juuuust picked up a 1989 911 with a few challenges that I am working through. Excited but concerned...

Mostly electrical at this point... no brake lights, some parking lights, no blinkers, etc...

Right at the front of the car there are these two connections. I googled the stamping number and might be to a rear defogger?

That is similar to the rear defogger, however the rear defogger connector in in the left rear of the car under the engine bay fuse box.

What are the fire colors to those connectors?

Wires - into the black connector...Brown or tan and black
Into the white connector (small one) looks like Brown or tan and a very light blue

This is the correct answer...

The white one is for the temperature switch.
