driver car door locking
1987 Carrera
when inserting the key to lock the driver door, the click sound is there for both lock and unlock BUT the door does not lock up... The passenger door works just fine. Any thoughts as how should this be remedied? |

Most probably the plastic ball socket has broken thus no lever action. I replaced mine with this. Same thing. Get two. https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/99916802140OEM.htm?pn=999-168-021-40-OEM&bt=Y&fs=0&SVSVSI=819

Mine did that and it was the "Door lock actuator/operating rod"
