Shipping a 911 door ?
I am pondering selling a 73 passenger door I have had in the rafters for a while. Has anyone ever shipped one UPS or Fed Ex?
If it has to go freight, I'm not going to bother. Last time I used a freight, they destroyed 2 perfect Turbo front fenders and a hood. The insurance was worthless. Total nightmare. Derek |

I have shipped several doors via Fed-Ex ground without any problem. Remove the mirrors and window frame and be certain to use double thick corrugated boxes.
If you are concerned, go to a UPS store and have them pack it for you and be sure to insure it. If the door is damaged, you will not get the standard “sorry, your claim has been denied due to your improper packing”… |

A door does FedEx Ground. Make sure it is packed well meaning offset from the box on all corners with stiff foam. If not the door will be twisted when it arrives. Insurance is worthless, completely worthless. Ignore it.
