Outside rear view mirror
 

I'm installing a convex, right outside mirror on my '85. I successfully removed the original mirror with a thin putty knife and heat.

The new mirror came with round, double sided stickers which are quite a bit thicker than the original film. I don't think the heat transfer will be very good due to the air space between the heated plate and the glass mirror. The original was a continuos sticky filrm. Does anyone have any suggestions where I can get some thin, double sided sticky film?
