Installing door glass...need advice
 

I'm reinstalling the door glass in my 77 Targa. I noticed a cushioned like felt material
along the top of door under the weather strip. It looks kinda worn out on both sides.
Anyone have any photos on what it should look like in good shape? Is it continuous
all along or just individual spots. Is this material available or can I substitute? Thanks
for any advice. I acquired the car without the door glass.

It should be continuous. It is held in place by 4 attached spring clips. I just replaced mine, but don't have any pics on hand. part number 901-531-935-20 Left and 901-531-936-20 right, assuming I understand the parts you are referring to, and the they are the same as those ion my coupe.
