Griots good experience + G8 + detailing fun
So...to start...I must say I am a huge Griots fanboy. I live about 15-20 minutes from their mothership in Tacoma, WA, which makes things extra straightforward/lucky.
That said, a 3" buffer I purchased about 6-7 years ago from them died last weekend and I took it in and asked what the warranty...if any...was. Without a blink, they just gave me an off-the-shelf new G8 2"-3" buffer. It's AMAZING. Service...AMAZING. Anyway...spent a solid 4-5 hours today working the paint on my 911. Glowing now and extremely pleased. Very good car-project weekend. I don't want to harp to much on the G8 other than it is absolutely fantastic and I am not sponsored (I wish) by Griots. Just a fan.

I agree. I just got a G9 and 5” pad set. I had massive stained from the PO and some washer stains I caused. I also had dry sanding attempts in my hood.
So after watching a few vids online and talking to the detail place I went for it. Washed, clay, wet sanded hood with 3000, cut, polished, waxed. It looks amazing. All stains and swirls gone. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I like Griots products as well.
I've been planning to do a full correction on my 1979, but I debate whether or not to remove the years of character. |
