Front left corner - ideas for rust repair repair

Hi,

Found a bit of rust in front left of car and then found some more.......
In short, some ordinary repair work done on car and now I need to get it fixed.
wondering where I could buy a section to weld in or even ideas on how to repair.

Rust extends under the battery tray so that likely to be cut out next,

thanks in advance,

Geoff

Restoration design makes great fitting parts at reasonable prices for that area

Looks like you need the bottom part of the inner fender front left repair panel too. I fabricated an accurate replica, but wished I had bought it instead...

I think you need the gas tank support and not the front pan if I’m looking at the picture correctly. Also I think there is a repair panel that is for the battery area.

Definitely needs suspension pan, but the suspension pan mount looks solid so, if it is, I would be tempted to cut out and weld in just the part that was cut out. When I replaced the front half suspension pan including new suspension mounts (mine were toast), I found it extremely challenging and time consuming to get the panel to fit and get the suspension mounts into the correct position in all 3 dimensions. That said, we cannot see how much you cut out on the right side, so this might not be a great idea... looks like you also need a tiny part of the longitudinal section, but this will be easy to fabricate and patch in (I have pictures of how I did this if needed).

Are you doing it yourself?

I put a suspension pan in mine and was able to repair the front tank support and battery support. It is a big job but not overwhelming. Just take your time getting it lined back up and fitting well before you start welding.

Welcome to the club. Many of us have had to do this. It's almost a rite of passage on these forums. Search for "front pan suspension replacement" and you'll see many threads.
