Door release removal help
I am knee-deep in trying to repair my driver's door for a few things and I need some help.
First: how do I remove the pin holding the door release? I have removed the circlips and would assume the pin would then fall out. I have used some penatrent but I feels like it's welded in. Second: I originally removed the panel to try and fix the lock actuator. The driver's door won't unlock with the key but not lock with a key. The central locking system works from inside both the button and the manual knob so I don't think it's the actuator solenoid. Any ideas and help is much appreciated Last edited by thsupernge; 06-12-2021 at 05:16 PM.. |

Got it! I used the Dremel to get it as clean as I could and rigged up a lever system consisting of two screwdrivers, channel locks, and a vice to lever the pin out.
