I had Suntek PPF Ultra installed in 2017 and it looks amazing. The expel installs I’ve seen had very visible orange peel look compared to the PPF Ultra. From what I’ve read the Ultra is the smoothest non-orange peel looking film.

Something I learned and see more clearly after my install. Doing paint correction prior makes paint pop but some minor scratches and swirls can be hidden by the PPF. Beside actual paint chips showing base paint/color difference the most important thing that will be visible are the paint chip holes or divots. The film shows a small bubble where deep paint chips were covered but not fully filled with paint. I spent close to 20hrs doing touch up work and visually the car looked amazing but once film was installed you can easily see the deep chips. Pro tip I received from the installer, use touch up paint on those spots to hid the bubble or any other imperfection shown through the film.
