URO Ignition wires 911609010011ST
Hi,
Got these wires and wanted to give first hand feedback. First of all they look and feel well made, bonus is that each wire is labeled properly so no need to worry. They are absolutely beautiful to look at. After installing them I noticed my car runs better without hesitation, tells me old wires were shot. I would highly recommend these wires. They are available through multiple sources. Few pics ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Good to know about other options. Those wires certainly look good.
Did the box indicate the country of manufacture/origin? |

Not a direct indictment of your purchase - as I have never tried the wires..
But every single URO rubber part I ever purchased has deteriorated much quicker than expected (or compared to OEM). I am not a fan of URO and avoid parts made by that company. Here is some other German sites discussing the PROs and CONS of this Brand.. (i have several more in another thread I created for the E30 crowd - but cant find it.. I also have picks of torn rubber intake boots, rubber grommets, and tie rod ends that failed within 10000 miles all from URO quality.. URO parts, good? Anyone Else with URO brand windshield rubber? - PeachParts Mercedes ShopForum URO & cheap aftermarket parts - Tales of Woe [Archive] - 500Eboard 914World.com > Cheapy uro brand turbo tie rods My personal issue would be 2 years from now if the car begins to jump spark and you have a slight miss - it may be the rubber going bad.. but you'd be looking for something else - cause the wires are "new"..

Correct me if I am wrong but those type of wires were 'thought' to be a fix to the exploding air box....but they were not...and Porsche added the diffuser to the intake area for cold starts.
I've had many indy shops tell me those are simply bought/used out of habit and not required realistically. They are not bad certainly but expensive overkill for nought.

I see that some people might have had problems with uro parts but everything I have received so far is perfect, no complaints so far.
Will keep you posted. |

Hi Fellow forum members.
Any long term feedback on the URO plug wires. My car developed a miss when cold and I think its time for a new set of wires. |

I purchased a set of OEM BERU wires a while back. What a disaster. Engine missing when cold, poorly screwed together ends. After a lot of drama i threw them in the bin in disgust. It got all too hard to send them back to PP as there were to many hoops to jump through. Bought some Clewett wires and haven't looked back.
WRT to the URO wires - i would give them a try and the OEM were of substandard quality anyway. |

I recently installed a set of NGK wires. Beautiful made, car ran noticeably better. They were $140 and did not have the braided outer jacket.
