Signal LED

so I removed my front bumper and discovered why people hate the turn signal wiring so much. Have some connectors on order to splice them in but anyway. When I opened up my turn signal housing I noticed the entire setup with the bulb is garbage and also brittle. Instead of buying an entirely new housing I was thinking of getting the LED turn signal panel from Spokeworks. I noticed it’s set up to connect directly to the bulb housing but I was wondering if anyone had just removed the reflector altogether and just wired it directly in? Seems a much simpler way to do it.
