About a decade or so ago, one of my good friends friends built several different 911 race cars with Getty 993 wide bodywork (like what is on my car) and air-cooled 3.8L TT engines. They all weighed under 2000 pounds. Two of these he owned and raced. At least one of them was also used as a commuter car (yes with a full racing cage).

All with north of 700 bhp, and all very reliable.

Nice to see folks still expressing themselves with these machines.
