Looking for good illustrations of basic 911 engine
I've scoured Google images and I'm not finding what I'm looking for so hoping the Pelican braintrust will come through.
First choice is I'm looking for line drawings/illustration of the exterior of a basic 911 engine. Straight on view of the front, sides, rear and top. I don't care whether it's MFI, CIS, Motronic stuff on top. I mainly just care about the common parts -- case, fan, etc. PET has exploded isometric views. That's not what I'm looking for. Alternatively, if someone has some good pics from an engine on a stand that are "straight on" pics -- maybe with the intake stuff removed, I would appreciate that. Thanks, -T |
I’m out of town so I can’t look at my library right now, but I think there may be an illustration or two in “Excellence Was Expected” .

mostly it seems that people take 3/4 view shots of the engine
I do have this one of mine before changing the fan to charcoal gray http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1596220925.jpg |
Big help, guys!
This is something I can at least start to work from. Really appreciate it. If anyone has some other pics, keep 'em coming! |

Beautiful engine by the way! |
Thanks!

not to hijack but, RWebb, what is the K&N part number for those filters?
|
wow - no idea
if you mean CF rain hats, also no idea, but they bend and allow air leaks - so, I glued some thin hex-cell Al material to them to prevent that I'm sure you can find the K&N filters by dimensions OTOH, if you could find paper air filters of the correct size you will be doing your engine a favor... |
Bill, that is great! Big thanks!
