Lightbulb CIS KJET and 3.2 Liter carrera

i m looking for guys who made the modification to talk about problems and solution and tips )) because i have this engine in my 2.4 E 1973 and if you talk french it s great (dreamer )).. by this board or by email ))thanks

Please clarify your question. Do you mean putting a 3.2 into your car? I figure someone on Pelican will have the information you need.

There is no 3.2 CIS engine ... 3.2 Carrera engines had Motoronic. 3.0 SC had CIS....

I think you can put a 3.2 in a 73 fairly easily. I'm not sure if you have a 915 gearbox or not, but if so, you'll have to do some transmission work (notching). Otherwise, it's almost as straightforward as a 3.0 conversion.

Before the technology of burning new chips was available one of the solutions for highly tuned 3.2 engines to keep them drivable was to fit carburettors and lose the DME. I have also seen it done as a quick fix for DME problems when the hardware was at hand.

Another possibility is that it's a 3.0 with CIS as std. Or a 3.0 with capacity increase. The engine number would be an indicator of how it started life.

Best to go back through your paperwork and contact former owners and garages to establish who did the conversion.
