Grrr. I am starting to think it hates me.

Reading up some more on alternator wiring and came across this statement

"Then there is a washer that slips against the alternator on the alternator shaft; if it is stepped (two diameters) the smaller diameter goes towards the alternator."

Ok, which way do you think I put it?

My question is why? Mine came with the stepped side out and I could not see how it mattered so on it went. What is the reasoning for this. Do I get t romove the fan again? GRRRRR

Maybe one of you guys can just come over and hold my hand all day

with the wide side out, the fan hub is supported a bit more than if it was flipped. kind of a non-problem, but someday maybe you can flip it if you're bored.
