Oil crossover pipe fitment problems

The new oil crossover pipe I am installing to fit my '85 930 heat exchangers is not ligning up correctly. Is it at all common for these large oil lines to need a little coaxing? The picture below shows where I believe the line should be and the red is where mine is currently at. The red arrow indicates where the bend is and the circled red arrow is where mine starts its bend. Do I have the wrong line or does mine just need some bending? Thanks

.

I get dizzy looking at your pic. I think your line looks right. I don't think it is supposed to go as high as the red lines

Then I would say yours is too high but I can't say for sure. What part of the line is the problem?

If I leave it where it is the line that connects to it and goes to the Tstat will hit on the exhaust valve cover. I think I need to bend it down.

Maybe the line got bent in shipping. I would bend it down a little

Listen here 'daddy....
Your project is doomed.
The motor may run, but will leak oil like crazy if you don't rebuild it rightside-up!
