1989 3.2 Carrera-question on driver's floorboard
Hi All,
Replacing my driver side floorboard with Rennline aluminum. Just above the clutch pedal opening mounted on the back of the floorboard is a bracket with a one inch rubber bumper positioned at the bottom center of that bracket. Bracket is held in place with two Allen head screws. It connects to nothing else. Three questions: 1. What is the purpose of the bracket with its small bumper? 2. Is it necessary to reinstall it on the Rennline floorboard? If so, how should it be positioned when looking at the bumper through the pedal slot from the front of the floorboard? The new floorboard does have the mounting holes for the bracket so I assume it does go back on. Thanks, Jonathan |

On the 915 cars it's an adjustable stop to keep the clutch pedal from being depressed too far. -J
