1986 3.2 - Oil Cooling System Layout

Hi All

I have a donor engine from an '86 911 3.2 (ROW) and I am trying to work out how the stock oil system should work (as I am pretty sure I am missing a few bits). I also have a few 964 parts thrown into the mix (thermostat and front cooler), which I am assuming were added as an upgrade to the stock 3.2 system.

Have found plenty of great info on the 964 forum about how that system is laid out, and nice diagrams of the earlier systems ... however am seeing conflicting information on the 3.2 from what I am seeing over the internet - possibly due to different ages of cars with different systems?

Where does an '86 3.2 system sit between the early systems (single cooler) and the 964??

Is this the 3.2:

Essentially this, but with an additional cooling loop:

If it is, then does the second diagram have a missing breather?. From what I have seen indicates that there should be 3 "breathers":
  1. Air intake boot to to filler neck on tank (B below / 16 above)
  2. Crank case to tank (G below (near internal thermostat) / 15 above)
  3. Throttle Body (below butterfly - the auxiliary vent to stop the TB from icing)

With a 3.2, should there have been 2 coolers initially? My current set up has the 964 thermostat controlling the flow to the front cooler, like in the first diagram (just with a cooler / fan etc. and not just a cooler loop)

Went and took another look at the tank etc today. I can see there are two breather fittings on the tank. One on the filler neck and one that sits to the side of the filler neck (opposite side to the filter).

Is this correct:

If so, then where does the auxiliary go? What I see is:
