BBS Turbofan and E50 build

I picked up this set of BBS Turbofans here on Classifieds a little while ago with the idea of using them with a set of E50 wheels for my M491

They are just under 16" inches in diameter from outside fin tips, so I assume I have to build 16" wheels or maybe 17". I want to build the widest wheels for the rear given tire availability and what will fit in the Turbo flares.

Pirelli makes a 315/40/16 P7 Corsa Classic which is a full inch wider in diameter than standard. I'm guessing you can't really make the rim wider to stretch the tire enough to get closer to the ~25" standard diameter. Same with the front, they have a 255/50/16 which is also very tall.

Anyone know of other wide 16" tires that will work? Anyone built a set of E50s like this? And will the Turbofans look goofy if I build 17" wheels?
