Wiring help needed

Are there designated positive/negative terminals on the back side of the front turn signals? I am trying to hookup a new parking light, and the two wires that come out of that are suppose to connect to the terminals on the backside of the turn signal. Unfortunately, I didn't document the connections prior removing the old unit. The lights seem to work regardless of which terminal I hook up to, but I am sure there is a right and a wrong way.

Thanks,
David

I am not sure if the wiring has changed from an SC to a carrera/930, but this is what the diagram says.

Parking light = black/Green
Turnsignal = Black/White
Ground = brown(always)

There may also be a Bk/wh wire from the PL to the side marker lights. I think you may be trying to hook into these two and not with ground. check the coloring and then the fuses.

Jamie,

Thanks for your response. My problem isn't so much what the wires are for, but rather which terminal post on the backside of the turn signal is positive and which one is negative. I don't see any markings on either the case or the terminal posts.

Thanks,
David

David, generally speaking the terminal that leads to the brass strip that touches the bottom of the light bulb is positive or "hot". The terminal that leads to the brass socket is generally the ground.
