sc windshield frame corrosion
I am about to change the windshield seal on my 79 SC. I don't have a garage so I will have limited time to do the job start to finish. I have read a million articles and watched even more videos to prepare as much as possible to do it right. i did it once about 20 years ago with a friend with car restoration experience and it was miserable. We didn't even know about the rope method. So my question is what is the best method of repair if I find rust damage on a sealing surface? Is it bondo or JB weld and sand to a smooth sealing surface, if it is light damage? I have searched and not found much on this even using a google search for pelican.
Thanks Adam |

Cut it out and replace if your going to bother with it. Do it once and right. If its salvageable grind or blast rust to bare metal, prime with a 2k epoxy or etching primer, then topcoat. If Metal is too far gone you can purchase replacement sheet metal.

POR 15 seals up surface-type rust, if that's what you are dealing with.
