Chip Reprogramming

Hi. Can a Weltmeister TC-6000 chip be remapped? I was told when I had my engine rebuilt that a chip was custom programmed for my car. There’s a Weltmeister in it. The stock chip was in it when the bearing fried so I know it’s been changed. The car runs great and the power really comes on around 3500 rpm. ‘86 bored out to 3.4L. The Motronic box was recently serviced. Thanks

I don't think the physical chip is very expensive, the money is in the code. if you are looking for a custom map, look up Steve Wong / 911chips.com and ask them if they can reprogram what you have.

I’m curious because I suspect subterfuge. Why spend money on the Weltmeister then reformat it?

3.4 won't run on a 3.2 chip. It will, but like s##t.
Ask me how I know.
