84 911 non start
I had an intermittent starting problem, finally it would not start. I do not get a spark, My ignition key unit was bad ( very bad)so I replaced that, I replaced the DME relay was replaced and the ECM was tested and is fine. I am kind of at the end of my ideas. Maybe the coil? though I did test it and the 15 pin does get 12 volts. Can the col be bad anyway? Appreciate any ideas
Thanks Steve

So I presume the starter is engaging and spinning the engine.
The old simple three things, fuel air and spark. Air is pretty simple, so it is usually fuel or spark. Does the fuel pump come on briefly when you turn the key? If it does, does the fuel get to the injectors? The next thing to check is the spark. My coil went bad, but it just made it run bad. The two sensors on the crank are common problems. The car will never start or run if those sensors are bad. There are literally hundreds of threads on no start on the site. Look for the one for the 3.2 Carrera engine. The SC threads and earlier don't help you much. Good luck.
