Anyone have Photos of the Throttle rod? '85 911

I am looking for photos of the Throttle Rod Bushings ON the rod, the typical diagram doesn't show how they are attached or how the bushing attaches...not sure how they attach...would like to see what they look like before opening up the tunnel.

I believe there are metal straps that are simply bent around the bushing to hold them in place

Not sure if its what you are looking for... When the bushing is snap on the ball, there is a clip that goes through the bushing the ensure it does not pop out. Since there was none on mine, I use a needle pin.

J, if you are looking for the bushings on the throttle rod in the tunnel, here is a pic of the one just under the shifter. There is another just forward of the shift coupler.

That the Bushing circled in picture?

Are there 3 between the shifter and the shift coupler? All 3 can be reached and changed from the that tunnel?
Is the bushing under the bracket I circled in yellow in picture below?
Thanks

Yes, there are three. You must loosen the center console air flow management controls to access the bushing in the middle. Note: loosen should be fine - removal not necessary.
The other two are a breeze compared.

Yes, that is the bushing installed but before I wrapped the (holder) around it. You can see the lower bracket but the one from above it is harder to see. They just wrap around the bushing, one on top and one underneath. In one of my other pics you can see the bushing resting just above the tunnel before I installed it.

That's your post I used when my throttle rod was making noise in the tunnel. Thanks for that.

Ohhhh!

I was wondering what that white ball was! IS there a porsche part / pin specific to that ball so it doesn't come out?

Safety pin.......

JG,

Look for a safety pin (3/4”~1”). Easy to remove and install.

Yeah, I'm not paying $6.50...

If one google the part number 900-169-014-01-OEM, it can be found for $0.89
