Seat adapters?

Hi all. I know this has come up before, but before I got these seats. I have a 70 911 Targa that has the old style seats in it..until now. I came into a set of late model high backs and I wonder about mounting them in the car. Will they bolt into the original mounting bracket holes? Do I need to make/buy adapters? If anyone has a template for home built adapters can you hook me up?

Thanks,

You will need the spacers because the high back tracks are about 4-6 inches narrower. I've got the strait aluminum ones but wish I would have fabricated some that drop down to lower the center of gravity and keep the head off the roof. The highbacks also feel narrow and don't seem to have a lot of side support.
I will have to take out and repair mine in the near future so feel free to email me if you can't get the info elsewhere.

this is what you need.
sorry I don't want to sell them. But I'd be happy to work with you on the measurements.
Do you weld? these could be made without too much trouble. The only tough thing would be drilling and tapping the ends of the rods (these are where the seats mount).

You can do a search and find several threads on this topic. The choices are: make your own (one of the threads has a pattern); buy a set from our host; or buy a set from www.peparts.com.

When you pull your old seats, the seat belt mounts will go also. You will need to have an alternative worked out. The other threads will give you the info. Try "seat" and "plates" as the search terms.

I used the PEParts plates with an "ear" to attach the seatbelts. The seats have the factory sliders.
