Pre 1980 Paintscratch paint

Ordered paint to touch up area on my car that was painted with original color two years ago. Well needless to say my car is ice green metalic and the color from Paintscratch was more of a silver. I was told that even though I had the proper paint code and the color was the same as their paint chart it doesn't mean that the paint will be the same. This is especially true for pre 1980 Porsches. But there is an answer. They will hand match your color for an additional $25.00. So, my advice is if you are going to get some paint from them to match, send them an example, ( I sent them a head light ring) and have them match it up front. They do stand behind their products, that's why I deal with them.
I am posting this just so you don't have learn the hard way like I did and have to order more paint. Although they are going to be taking 50% off my replacement order. Good Luck
Tom
