I had a squeak that was driving me crazy. Best advice was to spray lubricant on suspension components one by one until I found it. Turned out to be rear trailing arm bushings in my case.

Most common is the torsion bars rubbing the inside of the front control arms.

We have speed bumps in our neighborhood and was able to hear my front end squeak when driving over them.
As Tyson S. mentioned, I had to replace worn out rubber bushings on the front control arms.

Is this a good idea? If so what kind of spray lube should one use?

Use silicone if you do this. Other petroleum based products will damage the natural rubber in the stock bushings.

A quick squirt may help you diagnose the source
If a quick shot of lube stops the leak, this might help you to pinpoint the source, but it may not be a good fix. Most bushings are not designed to slide in their mounts or the part in them, so it might be time toreplace some rubber. I think antiroll bar bushings might be an exception. A quick shot will tell you where, but you might do better to pull the bar mount down, clean and lube the bar and inner surface of the bar mount with some silicone grease - this should last a lot longer.
If the Tbar is metal to metal, or any other part of the 911 suspension is metal to metal, it is time for replacement. chris |

Right... I wasn’t suggesting that as a fix. Just a way to clearly identify the source.
