WUR Screen Debris

Pulled the WUR and found the screen with this debris on it. I have checked the WUR screen several times over the past year and not found anything on it. If you zoom in on this pic, one of the bits looks like a fiberglass thread or similar and I cannot identify the rest but they look like some kind of cloth bits.

Thought I read a thread awhile back that said this indicates something disintegrating in the fuel system.

My fuel filter is an almost new Mahle. I have never changed the accumulator and do not know how old it is.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Filtration system...........

Neil,

You have two (2) filtration systems before the fuel reaches the WUR.
  • Gas tank screen filter.
  • Fuel filter after the fuel accumulator.

Check them. Use compressed air to clean the filter screen for the WUR. Blow air first @ outlet then @ inlet.

Tony
