Aluminum Cross Bar Bushing??

Rebuilding my front suspension ('79 911SC) and while I don't recall removing a bushing from between the crossbar and the tub, it feels like a bushing should go there. Please see picture for reference. Anything go there? Thanks for any help/part numbers...

No bushing there. Your crossmember is not fully seated and needs to go up another ~1/8".

Not uncommon that the chassis is ever so slightly out of dimension with the holes in the crossmember. Not sure if there is a more eloquent way of doing this but I loosen both sides and draw the x-member into place with the bolts L-R-L-R...

Thanks Jim2,
Yes, I will fully seat it. I stopped when I became unsure if a bushing went in. So that would lead to my second question: I was just testing the fit at this time with the member only. Should I assemble the entire suspension off the car, and then lift it on. Or can I secure the cross member to the car and build off that?

Either way works. Just a bit more awkward with the full assembly.
