915 Gearset interchangeable
Please be gentle, but I'm hoping that someone can give me a simple answer to this one. Are 4th and 5th gearsets on a 915 gearbox interchangeable, so for instance if I had a QP (26:25) or QQ (26:26) gearset could i fit them interchangeably in the box, or is a 4th gearset physically different to a 5th gearset (apart from the number of teeth)? Hope this makes sense.
Thanks |

I've asked a similar question in the past and as I recall it is do-able, but the cost is prohibitive. At least it was for me - your situation may be different so it all boils down to budget. Someone like Matt Monson (GT Gears) could give you more accurate information.

No. The swappable gears on a 915 are 3&4. 5th is to itself.
It’s confusing because on the 901 4&5 are the swapped ones.
