How to get wires from engine bay to gauge in clock delete

I just received my BTI CAN bus gauge for my 83 911sc and I'm installing it where the clock normally resides.

What is the best route for the wiring from the engine bay? I've already got it fished thru beside the speedo wires under the access plate for the shift coupler but is there any access from under the dash that goes all the way to the dash behind the gauges? It appears to on by accessible from the frunk.

Not really. You can try to get a wire or wires through where the main factory harness is. You will have noted that Porsche used rubber two piece plugs for this purpose. You can drill a hole and use a grommet easily enough with a little foresight about where to drill, and what's on the other side. Though with the clock out that is easy if you put one there. Perhaps a more elegant solution would be something similar to what Porsche did - the plug socket seals the hole.

I ran my Innovate duel AFR from dash under carpet to a drilled 1.5 in hole with rubber grommet to motor.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1601280324.jpg

Looks good Slant!
The problem I'm having is there is a bulkhead seperating the lower dash area where the radio and climate controls are and the upper dash where the gauges are. I'm probably just going to go into the trunk behind the radio and then up behind the gauges and fresh air blower to the clock area.
Bigger issue to tackle though, is my ecu 80 pin plug. I got into a fight with one terminal and now I can remove it. Need to replace the whole damn connector now. Grrrr....

I just ran my AFR wire through the tunnel and up through a hole in the fire wall .
I'll take a pic and try to post it .I found it by putting a light bulb in the trunk and looking for the light
to show up in the foot well, just to the right of the gas pedal and above your right knee

Just drill a small hole in that bulkhead under the dash and put a grommet in it, run the wire through?

So a small hole was made on the passenger side that was close enough to the clock area to easily route the harness thru to get it behind the the actual gauge.
